Job Description

Cerner Finance is a world-class organization that significantly leverages technology to effectively and efficiently deliver the appropriate financial knowledge in the optimal format at the appropriate time to the right person (associate or client) while maintaining enterprise wide controls. As a Revenue Accountant, you will act as a key finance contact for all contracts within assigned client base and ensure contract revenue complies with GAAP and how the terms, conditions, schedules within the contract affect the financials. Additional responsibilities include; determining appropriate revenue treatment for client contracts, oversee revenue billing backlog to ensure accuracy and timeliness of revenue recognition, reconcile client balances, and manage weekly projections and cash forecasts. Revenue Accountants will also manage client contract milestones by working with other Cerner associates to determine appropriate timelines to obtain completion documentation as well as assist with corporate statutory audit deliverables.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of Finance or Accounting work experience
  • Revenue recognition work experience

Expectations:
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Additional Information
