Job Description

As a Technical Project Manager, you will provide day-to-day management of the technical project schedule. You will manage interdependencies or dependencies between projects schedules; create, monitor, and analyze project schedules across technical teams; coordinate project schedules and tasks; track, analyze, and report information appropriately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports; monitor projects’ progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date. Additionally, you will also create, monitor and provide on-going communication to appropriate internal and external stakeholders along with reporting risk areas and partner with leadership on strategies to address concerns. You will assist in identification and implementation of process improvements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 2 years of project management work experience
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information System or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Project and knowledge of Project Server
  • Technical project management experience
  • Familiar with Agile software development lifecycles
  • Other Microsoft product experience e.g. Visio, Powerpoint, Excel, Word

Expectations:

  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City area
  • Willing to travel up to 25% as needed
